About Vanessa Churchill Homeopath
I have used homeopathy for many years. I have found it to be repeatedly helpful for both my family as well as in my clinic. It's gentle and natural way of working aligns with my long-held belief of supporting the body's own healing mechanisms during illness.
I have three grown up children and three grandchildren. Above all, I can relate to the problems many women face with their changing hormone cycles. The monthly cycle, pregnancy and childbirth, and the menopause all present potential disturbance that may be supported with homeopathy.
The personal experiences of my own life have generated a particular interested for me in helping other women with female issues.
My own philosophy on health is that of balance. This is often seen as the core of natural approaches to health, anyway. Moreover, when there is dis-ease it affects the whole person, both physically, mentally and emotionally. So, it makes sense to me, therefore, to eat good nutritious food, to minimise my exposure to environmental toxins and to make positive social connections. In addition, it is important to value your loved ones.
When I am not working you can find me gardening, walking my dog or dancing Argentine tango.
My practice is situated on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border in Whiteparish, near Salisbury. There is easy access from Romsey, Southampton, the New Forest and Salisbury. However, if you prefer, I can also arrange to see you online using a secure video system for health care professionals.
Health care has always been close to me. This is probably because my mother was a nurse and I have always worked in the health sector. Later on, I wanted a hands-on role so I learned massage and the use of essential oils. A few years after that, I studied chiropractic and in 1999 I qualified as a McTimoney chiropractor. Eventually, I opened my own clinic so that I could make my own decisions in the way that I wanted to practice. I ran the clinic from 2002 to 2019. Although I do not work as a chiropractor now or use the title, the skills and knowledge that I have acquired throughout my chiropractic career are helpful to me as a homeopath.
In addition to my chiropractic training, I have undertaken many hours of postgraduate study. This includes craniosacral therapy as well as extensive study in Applied Kinesiology (AK). AK is a diagnostic method that can be used to evaluate the body on the structural, biochemical and emotional levels using manual muscle testing. Importantly, only qualified health care professionals such as osteopaths, chiropractors, dentists and medical doctors can study AK. Above all, the knowledge that I have acquired through AK has given me a greater understanding of how to support chronic health problems as a homeopath.
In 2018 I qualified as a professional homeopath from the College of Practical Homeopathy when I was awarded a Licentiate in Homeopathy. In addition, I also hold a BSc (Hons) in Chiropractic and a Diploma of Chiropractic.
